How you can influence your child’s mindset?

What can it mean to other children?

In today’s column, we would like to introduce you to a VERY special lady.

She’s a mom. She’s a wife. She’s a woman. Those things alone are more than enough to make her a real hero. But wait, there’s more!

Real Hero. Amazon Author. Mother. Kayleigh is all THAT
Two books ready! Third one in the works!

Her books “You Are Beautiful’ and ‘You are Capable’ are positive affirmation books for kids and were made to teach them about the value of a positive mindset. They are now available on Amazon.

And just like any other superhero – she has superpowers. She fights negative mindsets with a positive affirmations.

Meet Kayleigh Kennedy and her son Ethan.

What inspired Kayleigh to write a children’s book?

Like all moms, Kayleigh wants only what’s the best for her son. While making sure that he’s happy, healthy, and loved has always been her priority, she felt like she could be doing more.

The idea of what that “more” could be, came from her own life experience.

Before becoming a mother, Kayleigh spent a lot of time on her own personal development. One of the main takeaways was the value of having a positive mindset.

And just like that, she realised that she needs to let go of her fears and anxieties. It was a major turning point in her journey.

How to write a children's picture book that kids would want to read? Good writer seems to have that one covered.
Ethan seems occupied. Wonder why?

How did she do that?

Well, one of the tools that she used were affirmations.

What is an affirmation?

That question is best answered by a dictionary:

“A statement intended to provide encouragement, emotional support, or motivation, especially when used for the purpose of autosuggestion.”

Positive statements that provide encouragement. That’s what allowed Kayleigh to get through difficult times. Now that she knows that these are effective, why not teach this technique to her son?

Huge demand, no supply.

Her personal affirmations came from her mindset coach. She knew that choosing the right affirmations was the key. So, she started to look for books with affirmations specifically designed for children.

Turns out, there wasn’t any.

Like, none at all.

So, she decided to write a book herself.

How to influence your child’s mindset?

For example, Kayleigh has 7 affirmations that she repeats every night to her son.

They are:

You are Beautiful

You are Capable

You are Worthy

You are Kind

You are Loved

You are Brave

You are Strong

The idea is to let Ethan know that he can be, do and have anything he desires.

To teach him to stand tall in who he is, to keep his imagination alive, and for him to always remember that the sky’s the limit.

What can it mean to other children?

Kayleigh hopes that other children will learn the same things that Ethan is learning.

She has material ready to serve as a base for the first 7 books. Kayleigh has already published 2 of them.

She even says herself:

“I can see these books creating a generation of confident children, who are kind and inclusive, who dream big and know that anything is possible for them! I also see these books having a ripple effect on parents too! “
